A poster for the upcoming Free Artificial Limb Distribution Camp to be held in Coimbatore was unveiled during a press conference held at the Rajasthani Hall in R.S. Puram.
The camp is being organized by Narayan Seva Sansthan, a Udaipur-based charitable organization from Rajasthan that has been conducting free artificial limb fitting camps for persons with disabilities across India as well as in several African countries.
The second edition of the free camp in Coimbatore will be held on August 9 at Maheshwari Bhavan Hall, K.N.G. Pudur, Somayampalayam. During the camp, eligible beneficiaries will be provided with advanced prosthetic arms and legs, developed using Japanese and German technology with 3D manufacturing techniques, free of cost. Each prosthetic limb is valued at approximately ₹50,000 and will be fitted by a team of qualified medical professionals.
Speaking on the occasion, Camp Coordinator Achal Singh Bhati and social activist Santosh Mundra said the initiative aims to improve the mobility, confidence, and quality of life of persons with disabilities by providing high-quality prosthetic limbs at no cost.
The event was attended by Maheshwari Sabha President Damodar Prasad Somani, Jitendra Pugalia, Pradeep Karnani, and other dignitaries.
